All the procedures below are defined for the sops23e account on the host pacss2k.

Loading a new MIB

First terminate all S2k applications like TMmonitor, TMpacketHistory... . Use the S2k task launcher to kill all S2k server applications. When there is no S2k task launcher already running you can start a new one by entering the

s2.start

command. There is no risk to have more than one S2k task launcher running. To kill all S2k server applications press the "All" button, select the "Kill" option and finally press the "Kill" button at the bottom left corner. Confirm your selection by pressing the "Continue" button in the upcoming warning dialog window.

To load the new MIB enter the command

loadMib -pacs=MIB

where MIB is your selection of the MIB to be loaded. To list all available MIB sets please see below.

After MIB loading S2k must be restarted using the S2k task launcher again. Press the "EGSEsrv" button to select all S2k (EGSE) server applications, then press the "Start" button at the bottom left corner. Confirm your selection by pressing the "Continue" button in the upcoming warning dialog window.

Listing all MIBs available for loading

To list all available MIB sets which are ready to be loaded enter

loadMib -l

Show which MIB was loaded last (which is the active one)

To see which was the last loaded MIB enter

loadMib -s

Under the assumption everybody is using this procedure this will be also the active MIB.
