Procedure : Start/Maintain PacketRecorder @ Astrium Transfer Tm files to MPE

General

1. Remote login :

   > ssh -X pacs@HIEGSE.redirectme.net
   > psetup

2. Check proper pcss version / set if necessary :

   > echo $PCSS_ROOT 

      > emacs .cshrc
         ---> change PCSS_ROOT
      > emacs .pcss/props
         ---> change var.pcss.dir = /home/pacs/pcss-20050706
      > psetup

   > setenv PCSS_ROOT /home/pacs/<version>
   > psetup

The PacketRecorder used per test

0. Check disk space :

   > df

1. Directory :

   > cd tmtest

2. Start recorder :

   > PacketRecorder -host hos4-d <filename>   

3. When test is finished go to 'transfer TM data to MPE'

The hourly PacketRecorder

1. Check whether it is running :

   > ps -elf | grep PacketRec

If Not : 2. Directory :

   > cd tmhour

3. Start recorder :

   > PacketRecorder -host hos4-d -hourly imt_%.tm

   > PacketRecorder -host hos4-d -hourly imt_%.tm < /dev/null >& /dev/null  & 

The daily PacketRecorder

1. Check whether it is running

   > ps -elf | grep PacketRec

If not : 2. directory

   > cd tmday

3. Start recorder

   > PacketRecorder -host hos4-d -daily imt%.tm

   > PacketRecorder -host hos4-d -daily imt%.tm < /dev/null >& /dev/null  & 

Transfer TM data to MPE

After every test :

      > cd tmtest
      > scp <testdatafile> data@pacs1.mpe-garching.mpg.de:IMTdata/<date>

End of the day :

      > scp <datafiles> data@pacs1.mpe-garching.mpg.de:/dbBck/PacketFiles
