Mail services at MPE provide IMAP and SMTP access as well as a WebMail interface.
Using mail facility: The basics
There are several ways to use mail facility:
Point your web-browser to the WebMail interface and log in using your userid and password
- Configure your favorite mail client using the following information: (userid and password required)
- Incoming Server (IMAP): imaps.mpe.mpg.de port 993 with SSL
- Outgoing Server (SMTP): ssmtp.mpe.mpg.de port 587 with STARTTLS
Furthermore use the MPE Mail Database to adjust your personal settings and get further information like MPE phone book with member pictures (only with userid, password).
