Setting up Eduroam

  • Please have a look at the instruction manual eduroam_setup.pdf and follow the instructions for notebooks (page 1) or smartphones (page 2).

  • Brief summary:

    • Go to https://cat.eduroam.de

    • Choose the MPE aus your institute.
    • Download the installer proposed, depending on your operating system
    • Execute the installer

    • The username has to be provided like <username>@mpe.mpg.de, not just <username>. The password is the normal one for your email-account.

  • Manual installation
    • In case the way described above doesn't work (e.g. Android older than v4.3) one can as well install the eduroam profile manually. Please see the settings at the bottom.

Eduroam einrichten

  • Bitte die Anleitung eduroam_setup.pdf beachten und die Anleitungs-Schritte für Notebooks (Seite 1) oder Smartphones (Seite 2) ausführen.

  • Kurze Zusammenfassung:

    • https://cat.eduroam.de aufrufen

    • Das MPE als Heim-Institutu auswählen
    • Den vorgeschlagenen Installer (je nach Betriebssystem) herunterladen
    • Den Installer ausführen

    • Den Benutzernamen in der Form <username>@mpe.mpg.de angeben, nicht nur <username>. Das Passwort ist das normale Email-Passwort.
