Preliminary partitioning using PartitionMagic 8.0
- install PM from CD
- disable Norton Antivirus
- run PM from disk
- delete partition D:
- resize partition C: new size 11000 MB
- new partition: primary partition, FAT 32, size 20000 MB
- delete extended partition
- new partition: logical partition, ext3
apply pending actions --> accept system restart
- don't touch the system during system restart and the following partition resizing
Installing Suse 9.3
Partitioning
- Delete /dev/hda5
- Create partition: /, 10 GB, reiser
- Create partition: /other, 10 GB, reiser
- Create partition: swap, 4 GB, swap
- Create partition: /home, reiser
