 * Either use the local screen & keyboard or connect via VNC (see above)

How to get connected to the CDMS simulator front panel

On the hosts pacs2 , pacs3 or pacs4 type

vncviewer annie

Ask a local expert for the required password.

How to start the CDMS simulator

  • Either use the local screen & keyboard or connect via VNC (see above)

  • Double click on the CDMS simulator icon (you may have to stop the CDMS simulator before (see below)
  • Click on the Launch Router Command Interface button

  • In the dialog window enter
    • irsun01 as Router IP Address

    • 9877 as Router Port NO.

    and click on the Connect button

  • In the following dialog
    • select NAME_CLIENT option

      • enter PACS as Client Name:

      • and click on the Send Command button

    • select ADD_CLIENT option

      • enter 480 as APID Of Required Packets: (Hex)

      • and click on the Send Command button

      • enter 7F6 as APID Of Required Packets: (Hex)

      • and click on the Send Command button

    • click on the Close Window Without Sending button

  • Select the proper Bus List

  • Click on the Start/Stop BC button

How to stop the CDMS simulator

  • Click on the EXIT SIMULATOR'

  • Press the Ctrl-Q key on the keyboard
